Beer Carbonation System Automation – CARBOTEC

The project involved the integration and full automation of a CARBOTEC carbonation system used in beer production. The scope included installation and configuration of pressure and temperature measurement equipment, control of CO₂ dosing, automation of injection and dissolution stages, and implementation of a control algorithm to maintain carbonation parameters within precise limits.

Using a dedicated PLC and an intuitive HMI interface, operators can monitor the process in real time, adjust carbonation recipes, and ensure repeatability for each production batch. The automated CARBOTEC system enables rapid and stable achievement of the desired CO₂ level, reduces batch-to-batch variability, optimizes gas consumption, and ensures consistent final product quality.

This automation significantly improved operational efficiency and integrated the carbonation process into a modern control architecture, compatible with future expansion and aligned with current brewing industry standards.
