Cogâlnic Brewery – Fermentation Unit

The project involved the implementation of a fully automated CIP station configured with three cleaning solutions (hot water, alkaline solution, and acid solution), intended for sanitizing tanks and installations within the fermentation unit of Cogâlnic Brewery. The system was built on a Turck PLC platform, which coordinates all cleaning, dosing, and rinsing sequences, ensuring repeatability and efficiency in every cycle.

The station automatically manages temperatures, chemical concentrations, flow rates, and phase durations, using dedicated sensors to monitor parameters in real time. The HMI interface allows operators to select different recipes based on equipment type, supervise CIP cycles, and access process history for auditing and optimization.

Full automation of the CIP process resulted in significant resource savings, reduced downtime, and a high level of hygiene in line with brewing industry standards. The system is fully integrated into the plant’s control infrastructure and can be expanded to support additional lines and tanks.
