The projects involved the complete modernization of several DESMA machines used in industrial production, through the full replacement of control systems and hydraulic components with modern, efficient solutions compliant with current automation standards. The work included the installation of a latest-generation industrial PLC, deployment of an HMI with a modern, intuitive interface, reconstruction of electrical panels, and integration of a servo-hydraulic system for high precision and reduced energy consumption.

The retrofit process included rebuilding electrical circuits, reviewing and replacing worn components, recalibrating sensors, and redesigning the logic of work cycle sequencing. With the implemented servo-hydraulic technology, the equipment achieved improved dynamics, reduced cycle times, higher repeatability, and increased stability in the injection process.

At ROTAN S.A. and Almida, the upgrades led to a significant increase in production line productivity, reduced maintenance costs, elimination of unplanned downtime, and improved final product quality. The complete retrofit extended the service life of the DESMA machines and brought them up to current technical standards, enabling integration with auxiliary systems, diagnostic modules, and future process expansions.
