Automatic Wine Fermentation Control
Primary Wine Fermentation Automation – Temperature Control
Zambreni Winery, Moldova
1 project
The project involved the implementation of a fully automated temperature control system for the primary wine fermentation stage, a critical process for ensuring aromatic stability and final product quality. The solution included the installation of high-precision temperature sensors, automated valves for regulating cooling circuits, and an industrial PLC responsible for continuous monitoring and fine control of fermentation parameters.
The HMI interface provides real-time visualization of each tank, historical trend charts, configurable alarms, and the ability to adjust setpoints based on grape variety or process stage. The system was designed to maintain strict thermal control, preventing must overheating and ensuring a uniform and predictable fermentation process.
The automation implemented at Zambreni Winery improved final product consistency, reduced manual intervention, and increased the efficiency of the winemaking process, integrating the fermentation workflow into a modern, scalable, and easily extendable control architecture.
