Wine Fermentation Automation – PLC
Wine Fermentation Automation – PLC & HMI
Panorama Winery, Krasnodar, Russia
1 project
The project involved the full automation of the wine fermentation process at Panorama Winery through the implementation of a control system based on a PLC and a dedicated HMI interface. The solution included the installation of temperature and level sensors, integration of automated cooling circuits, valve control, and continuous monitoring of critical fermentation parameters.
The PLC coordinates the entire process, applying control algorithms to maintain optimal temperatures in each tank, while the HMI provides clear visualization of all process variables, alarms, and equipment statuses. Operators can set different recipes depending on the type of wine, track batch evolution, and quickly intervene in case of deviations.
The automation significantly improved process consistency, reduced manual errors, and optimized response time to temperature fluctuations. The system was designed for scalability, allowing future integration of SCADA functionalities, reporting, traceability, and real-time control across the entire winery.
